The newly advertised positions—High School Sports Coach (Tatu Boys High School) and Associate Dean of Residential Life (Tatu Girls)—are based at the network’s Nairobi campuses.

These roles are essential to advancing its mission of shaping well-rounded, disciplined, and inspired learners.

1. High School Sports Coach – Tatu Boys High School

Nova Pioneer is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled sports professional to lead its athletics program. This role focuses on cultivating a robust and inclusive sports culture that encourages student growth, teamwork, and discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive vision and training program for school sports

  • Coordinate competitions, friendlies, and regional sports activities

  • Coach multiple sports, including basketball, football, rugby, tennis, or swimming

  • Monitor student attendance, safety, and sports performance

  • Collaborate with the Dean of Students on equipment procurement and behavior management

Required Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience coaching teenagers

  • FIBA Level 1 or similar coaching certifications preferred

  • Degree in Physical Education or Sports/ Recreational Science (or equivalent experience)

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple sports and student development programs

2. Associate Dean of Residential Life – Tatu Girls

This senior leadership position is designed for a passionate educator and mentor to oversee the student residential life experience. The Associate Dean will be instrumental in shaping policies, managing staff, and ensuring a safe, supportive, and values-driven boarding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of student life strategies in collaboration with the School Leader

  • Supervise Dorm Mothers, School Nurse, and boarding operations

  • Teach up to 12 lessons per week in a specialized subject

  • Manage student housing logistics, safety protocols, and behavior policy enforcement

  • Coordinate with security, organize clubs and societies, and maintain effective communication with parents and stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education and TSC certification required

  • Master’s degree in education or social sciences is a plus

  • Prior experience as a boarding mistress or student life leader

  • Strong leadership background with experience in youth development

  • Deep understanding of child safeguarding and welfare practices
