Nairobi, Kenya – March 8, 2025 – Kenya Power has announced the opening of its Industrial Attachment Program for the May – July 2025 intake, inviting applications from students pursuing various technical and non-technical courses. This initiative aims to provide hands-on experience, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.

Three-Month Training for Students in Various Fields

The program, which will run for a maximum of three months, is designed for students currently enrolled in Degree, Diploma, or Craft Certificate programs. Successful applicants will be placed in different Kenya Power departments, gaining invaluable skills and exposure in their respective fields.

According to Kenya Power, the attachment program is part of its commitment to supporting education and workforce development in the country by offering students a chance to gain practical experience under the guidance of industry professionals.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants

To qualify for the attachment program, applicants must:

  • Be available full-time for the entire three-month duration.
  • Be continuing students pursuing a Degree, Diploma, or Craft Certificate at a recognized institution.
  • Possess a valid introduction letter from their institution confirming their student status.

Opportunities Available in Various Disciplines

Kenya Power is offering industrial attachment positions in the following fields:
✔️ Technical & Non-Technical (Bachelor’s Degree & Diploma)
✔️ Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Power Option)
✔️ Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
✔️ Building & Civil Engineering
✔️ Plumbing

Students will be assigned to various Kenya Power departments, where they will gain hands-on experience in power transmission, electrical maintenance, mechanical engineering, infrastructure projects, and related fields.
