KTDA National Chairman Chege Kirundi, accompanied by Board Members John Wasusana and Baptista Kanyaru, the KTDA Foundation General Manager Sudi Matara, and the General Manager Sales & Marketing Vincent Mwingirwa, last week, held a significant meeting with Imperial College London.
The College, a globally recognized institution ranked second worldwide by the QS World University Rankings, formalized its commitment to sustainability support for KTDA through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The MOU specifically targets the smallholder tea value chain, focusing on key areas such as Sustainable Agriculture, Climate Change and Action, Energy and E-mobility, and Value Addition. These collaborative efforts are strategically designed to enhance the earnings of smallholder tea farmers.
Jem Woods, Professor of Sustainable Development at Imperial College London and Director of the Centre for Environmental Policy, hosted the KTDA delegation for this impactful meeting.
