The Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC) has announced a range of employment opportunities for 2026, targeting qualified professionals to fill senior management, technical, and operational roles across the organization. The recruitment drive reflects AFC’s continued focus on strengthening governance, financial oversight, and service delivery in support of Kenya’s agricultural sector.

In this recruitment cycle, AFC is seeking to fill a total of 14 vacancies across multiple departments and regions. At the senior leadership level, the Corporation has advertised positions for a Chief Audit and Quality Assurance Officer (Grade 13) and a Head of Audit and Quality Assurance (Grade 12). These roles are central to ensuring compliance, risk management, and the integrity of AFC’s internal control systems.

Other Grade 12 positions include Head of Loan Recoveries, Head of Administration, Head of Legal Services, and two Regional Manager roles. These positions are designed to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen loan recovery processes, improve administrative coordination, and provide legal oversight across AFC’s operations. Successful candidates will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and relevant professional experience.

At the branch and operational level, AFC is recruiting four Branch Managers at Grade 8. These roles will involve overseeing day-to-day branch operations, customer service delivery, and implementation of AFC policies at the local level. Additionally, the Corporation is seeking to hire one Human Resources Officer III and two Accountants, all at Grade 7, to support human capital management and financial reporting functions.

Applications for all positions must be submitted through the AFC Job Portal. Candidates are required to upload a cover letter, an updated curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, a copy of the National Identification Card, and any other relevant supporting documents. The deadline for submission of applications is Monday, 12 January 2026, at 5:00 p.m. East Africa Time.

Applicants who are shortlisted will be required to provide several statutory compliance documents before final consideration. These include a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, a Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority, a clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board, and clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission.

AFC has emphasized that it is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fair and transparent recruitment. Qualified persons with disabilities, individuals from marginalized communities, and minority groups are strongly encouraged to apply. The Corporation has also cautioned that incomplete applications or any form of canvassing will result in automatic disqualification.

This recruitment exercise presents an opportunity for professionals seeking to contribute to AFC’s mandate of financing and supporting agricultural development across Kenya.
