In international development news — Finn Church Aid Thailand Foundation has announced a new job opening for the position of Programme Coordinator, Asia, NRTP. The role is based in Bangkok, Thailand, and is now open for applications.

The deadline to apply is May 31st, 2025, and the successful candidate is expected to start as soon as possible, with the contract running through to January 31st, 2026.

This key position will support the implementation of the “Youth on the Move: A Regional Approach to Resilience” Project — a joint initiative led by FCA teams in Thailand, Myanmar, and Nepal. The Programme Coordinator will also play an essential role in supporting FCA’s regional work through the Network for Religious and Traditional Peacemakers.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating FCA Thailand’s activities under the Youth on the Move project.
  • Advising local partners and stakeholders, particularly on issues affecting Myanmar migrants in Thailand.
  • Managing project monitoring and reporting in line with donor guidelines.
  • Aligning strategies with consortium partners across the region.
  • Representing FCA in national-level working groups.
  • Facilitating platforms for engagement among partners, beneficiaries, and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing financial, contractual, and procurement compliance.
  • Drafting contracts, managing documentation, and organizing travel and logistics.
  • Strengthening the FCA Network’s regional program in Asia.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

  • A university degree in peace and conflict studies, development, international relations, or a similar field.
  • At least four years of professional experience in peacebuilding or development work.
  • Strong background in project management, M&E, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Thematic experience in education, livelihoods, protection, or conflict transformation.
  • Regional experience, especially in Myanmar and Thailand.
  • Fluent oral and written skills in English and Thai; Burmese language skills are an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
