Guinness World Records has initiated the verification process for evidence submitted by Kenyan environmental advocate Truphena Muthoni, following her recent 72-hour tree-hugging endurance attempt.
In a communication sent through its official business channel, Guinness World Records requested that Muthoni upload evidence from her most recent record attempt through the organization’s application system. The request was aimed at confirming that all documentation and materials required for assessment were functioning correctly within the platform.

Muthoni, who undertook the endurance challenge by continuously hugging a tree for 72 hours, acknowledged the request and indicated that she would submit the required evidence within the week. She cited ongoing engagements following the attempt but confirmed her commitment to completing the upload process as required.
The submission of evidence marks a key stage in the Guinness World Records review procedure, during which all record attempts are independently assessed against established guidelines before official recognition is granted.
Guinness World Records has not yet announced the outcome of the review, pending completion and evaluation of the submitted materials.
