Huduma Kenya Launches 58th Centre in Kisumu West to Bring Services Closer to Residents
Huduma Kenya Expands Access with the Launch of Kisumu West Centre
Huduma Kenya has marked a significant milestone in public service delivery with the launch of its 58th service centre, located in Kisumu West, Ojola. This new facility will dramatically improve service accessibility for residents who previously had to travel 16 kilometres to Kisumu town to access government services.
The Centre was officially opened by Deputy President Dr. Kithure Kindiki, showcasing the successful collaboration between the Ministry of Interior and Huduma Kenya. The establishment of the centre is aimed at enhancing accessibility to government services for citizens, making them more convenient and efficient.
“This Centre is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together,” Deputy President Kindiki remarked during the launch. The Kisumu West Huduma Centre will serve as a one-stop shop for various government services, including National ID processing and social services, which are now more accessible to local residents.
The Ministry of Interior facilitated the construction of the Centre, while Huduma Kenya equipped it with the necessary ICT infrastructure and staff from various government agencies. This partnership highlights the importance of pooling resources and expertise to achieve equitable service delivery across the country.
With services now closer to home, local economic activities in the region are expected to flourish. The Kisumu West Huduma Centre is not only a symbol of effective governance but also a model for future partnerships aimed at improving public service accessibility throughout Kenya.
