1. Artisan Positions
Departments: Engineering Services / Infrastructure Development
Grades: KPA9
Salary: Kshs. 67,317 – 85,554 + allowances
Requirements:

KCSE or equivalent

Government Trade Test III or equivalent

Computer literacy

Age ≤ 30 years

Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution
Functional Areas Include:

Key Duties: Assisting senior artisans in maintenance, production of equipment components, welding/fabrication, housekeeping, and materials handling.
2. Technician Positions
Departments: Engineering Services / Infrastructure Development

Salary: Kshs. 76,156 – 108,767 + allowances
Requirements:

KCSE or equivalent

Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Marine Engineering, or related field

Key Duties: Assisting Senior Technicians in maintenance, civil works, electrical installations, projects, instrumentation, and shift management.
3. Assistant Ferry Master
Department: Ferry Services
Grade: KPA7
Salary: Kshs. 100,660 – 132,290 + allowances
Requirements:

Diploma in Nautical Studies or related field

Minimum 4 years relevant experience

Master Port Operation Certificate of Competency (COC Master Mariner is an advantage)

Key Duties: Operating vessels, ensuring crew and passenger safety, monitoring vessel operations, coordinating ferry movements, and emergency management.
4. Seaman (Tug Mate) / Coxswain II / Mooring Assistant
Departments: Ferry & Harbour Services
Grades: KPA8
Salary: Kshs. 76,156 – 108,767 + allowances
Requirements:

KCSE or equivalent
-
Relevant maritime certifications (STCW 95, Coxswain Certificate)

3 years’ experience in relevant maritime roles

Compliance with Chapter Six
Key Duties: Vessel operations, bunkering, maintenance coordination, supervision of mooring gangs, and ensuring maritime safety.
5. Medical & Pharmaceutical Positions
a) Laboratory Technologist – KPA7
b) Pharmaceutical Technologist – KPA7
c) Pharmacy Attendant – KPA9
Salary Range: Kshs. 67,317 – 132,290 + allowances
Requirements:

Relevant diplomas or degrees from recognized institutions

Registration with professional boards (e.g., KMLTT, Pharmacy Board)

Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar roles

Compliance with Chapter Six
Key Duties: Laboratory investigations, specimen management, pharmaceutical dispensing, medication counseling, record keeping, and maintaining health and safety standards.
6. Administrative & Graduate Trainee Roles

Salary Range: Kshs. 76,156 – 108,767 + allowances
Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in relevant fields (Finance, Engineering, ICT, HR, Social Sciences)
