KNEC Announces Major Changes to KPSEA and KJSEA 2025 Exams — New OMR Answer Format Introduced
24 June 2025 | Education News | By Star Reporter
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has issued new guidelines for the 2025 KPSEA and KJSEA examinations, introducing a significant shift in how candidates will mark their answers. Learners will now be required to shade circles on Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheets—departing from the traditional method of drawing lines.
In an official statement released on June 24, 2025, KNEC confirmed that sample papers for the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) were uploaded to the KNEC portal in January to help schools and learners adapt to the updated format.
