Applications are open for the MMWCA Internship Program 2025, offering a unique opportunity for wildlife and conservation enthusiasts to gain hands-on experience in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. This internship program provides practical exposure to wildlife management, community conservation, and sustainable tourism.
Maasai Mara Wildlife Conservancies Association (MMWCA) invites applications for the 2025 internship opportunity, which aims to provide hands-on professional experience to youth from the conservancies within the Maasai Mara landscape.
The program specifically seeks to build the capacity of the next generation of conservation leaders by engaging local youth in the following support areas: Wildlife management, natural resource management, community development, Leadership and Governance, Finance, Economics, Gender, Procurement, Communication, Information Technology, Human Resource Management, data management, and conservation.
All applications will be reviewed based on the following eligibility criteria:
- The applicant must be a member of a conservancy under MMWCA.
- The applicant must originate from or reside in the conservancy area.
- Must possess a higher education certification beyond KCSE
- Must demonstrate interest in conservation, community development, or related fields
