A heartbreaking incident occurred in Kware, Embakasi, Nairobi, over the weekend when a three-year-old boy lost his life after falling from the seventh floor of an apartment building. The boy, a Tanzanian national, was playing with other children at Sweet House Apartment on the evening of Saturday, December 20, when the fall occurred. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities later transferred the child’s body to a mortuary, where it will undergo an autopsy and other necessary procedures. Accidents involving young children falling from high-rise apartments have been reported frequently in residential estates across Nairobi. Officials continue to urge parents and guardians to maintain vigilance to prevent similar tragedies.

Police reported that 43-year-old Wambua Musau was connecting wires to the pump when the fatal incident occurred on Saturday morning. Kenya Power and Lighting officers, along with local police, attended the scene and later moved the body to a mortuary as investigations and an autopsy were scheduled.

According to police, Kitoto had been attending a party at the hotel on Friday night and stayed behind while others left. Cleaners discovered his body the following morning, and authorities moved it to a mortuary pending further examination.
Meanwhile, law enforcement in Busia arrested a man suspected of human trafficking involving two boys aged 16 and 15. The boys, originally from Moyale, claimed they had been misled about traveling to Europe via Uganda. The suspect remains in custody while police continue to investigate the matter.
In Nairobi, detectives from Dandora and Shaurimoyo successfully apprehended a murder suspect named Peter Kimani, also known as Kim, during an operation in Eastleigh along Gallole Street. Police recovered a Retay Falcon pistol, a live 9mm hollow-point round, a spent cartridge, and a red Boxer motorcycle believed to have been stolen. Authorities noted that security operations have been intensified in Nairobi and surrounding areas to reduce crime during the festive season, resulting in multiple arrests across different neighborhoods.
These incidents highlight the importance of safety in residential areas, vigilance during daily activities, and law enforcement efforts to address criminal activities, especially as communities observe the holiday season.
