University of Eldoret Announces 14th Graduation Ceremony Scheduled for November 20, 2025
The University of Eldoret has officially announced that its 14th Graduation Ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Main Campus Sports Pavilion Grounds. The highly anticipated event will mark the culmination of academic excellence for students who have successfully completed their studies in the 2024/2025 academic year. The ceremony, which begins at 8:00 a.m., will also be streamed live on the University of Eldoret’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel to ensure that friends, family, and well-wishers who cannot attend physically can share in the celebration of academic achievement.
The University administration has emphasized that all invited guests who will attend the physical ceremony are advised to be seated by 7:30 a.m. to allow for a smooth flow of the program. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academic and Students’ Affairs, through a public notice, stated that the University is making elaborate preparations to ensure the event maintains the institution’s tradition of excellence, decorum, and punctuality. As a renowned ISO 9001:2015 certified institution, the University of Eldoret continues to uphold its standards of quality service delivery and academic integrity in all its operations.
As the countdown to the big day continues, the University has outlined clear guidelines for graduands to follow to ensure a seamless process leading to the ceremony. All students who qualify for the conferment of degrees and the award of diplomas are required to confirm that they have met all academic and financial requirements before registering for graduation. According to the notice, graduands must visit their respective schools or check the University website at www.uoeld.ac.ke to verify their status. They are also required to fill in the official Graduation Registration Form, UoE/AC/GRAD/02, and submit it to the offices of their respective Deans by Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Furthermore, all graduands are reminded that they must pay their graduation and alumni fees by Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The University has outlined the fee structure clearly to ensure transparency and consistency across all levels of academic awards. Doctorate candidates will pay Kshs 7,500, which includes Kshs 6,500 for graduation and Kshs 1,000 for alumni fees. Master’s degree graduands will pay a total of Kshs 7,000, while Postgraduate Diploma and Bachelor’s degree graduands will each pay Kshs 6,500. Diploma and Certificate candidates will pay Kshs 5,500 and Kshs 5,000 respectively. Payments are to be made to the University of Eldoret Main Account at the National Bank, Eldoret Branch, account number 01021073342500.
In addition, the University has issued a reminder on the proper use of names for the purpose of graduation documentation. Graduands are strictly advised not to insert or modify any names other than those used during their admission to the University. The administration noted that it is the responsibility of each graduand to verify the accuracy and order of their names and to report any errors to the Dean of their respective school for correction before the final graduation list is confirmed.
As preparations intensify, the University has also scheduled a mandatory rehearsal session for all graduands on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Main Campus Sports Pavilion Grounds. Attendance at this rehearsal is not optional, as it serves as a crucial component of the graduation process. The rehearsal ensures that graduands are familiar with the ceremony proceedings and that the event runs efficiently and professionally.
The distribution of graduation regalia will begin on Thursday, November 13, 2025, and continue until Tuesday, November 18, 2025. All graduands are expected to collect their gowns from their respective schools after clearing the required graduation fees. The University has also specified that gowns must be returned by Friday, November 28, 2025, to avoid incurring penalties. A late return will attract a daily fine of Kshs 1,000, a measure designed to ensure timely returns and efficient regalia management for future ceremonies.
In the same announcement, the University of Eldoret highlighted that it is currently admitting new students for the January, May, and August 2026 intakes. The University’s Town Campus, which is both KASNEB and TVETA accredited, offers a variety of academic programs designed to equip learners with industry-relevant skills.
